# Quick Start Guide

# What is a Token Swap?

A Token Swap refers to the process of converting one digital asset into another directly on a blockchain network. Executed through smart contracts, the entire transaction is recorded and verified on-chain without relying on centralized custodians.

Users can swap assets within the same blockchain or perform cross-chain swaps across different blockchains using interoperability technologies. Compared to traditional trading, token swaps offer:

* Decentralization: No third-party intermediaries; assets remain fully under user control.
* Instant Settlement: Once confirmed, the target asset is delivered directly to the user’s wallet.
* Transparency & Traceability: All transaction data is publicly recorded on-chain and can be verified anytime.

Token swaps are one of the most fundamental and widely used operations in blockchain, applicable to investment, payments, liquidity management, and cross-chain transfers.
# What is Cross-Chain?

Cross-Chain refers to the technology and process of transferring or exchanging digital assets across different blockchain networks.

Because blockchains differ in ledger structure, consensus mechanisms, and communication protocols, assets cannot move freely between them without interoperability. Cross-chain technology aims to break this isolation, enabling assets, data, and applications to flow seamlessly across ecosystems — increasing liquidity and expanding use cases.
# What is Slippage?

Slippage is the difference between the expected price when submitting a trade and the actual execution price.

In blockchain trading, token prices fluctuate with market activity and liquidity. During the time between order submission and on-chain confirmation, price changes may occur, resulting in slippage.

## Causes of Slippage:

* Market Volatility: Prices shift as other trades are executed while waiting for confirmation.
* Low Liquidity: Large orders can significantly impact pool prices, pushing them up or down.
* Network Congestion: Longer confirmation times increase the likelihood of price changes.

## Slippage Tolerance:

On decentralized trading platforms, users can set a “slippage tolerance,” i.e., the maximum acceptable deviation percentage. If the price change exceeds this range, the transaction is automatically canceled to prevent excessive losses.

# Trading Fees & Discounts

When using a decentralized aggregation platform, transaction fees mainly include:

* Network Fee (Gas Fee): Paid to blockchain network nodes for validating and recording transactions. The fee fluctuates depending on network congestion and transaction complexity, and is collected by the blockchain network.
* Platform Fee: Charged by Transit when executing swaps or cross-chain transactions. This fee helps maintain platform operations and development, with the exact amount clearly displayed before confirmation.

## The base aggregation trading fee on Transit Swap is 0.3%.

Transit has launched a fee discount mechanism. The system automatically matches a discount tier based on the combined amount of TPT and xTPT held in a user’s wallet, applying the corresponding fee reduction directly during the transaction.

The current discount tiers are as follows (subject to future adjustments and additional tiers based on actual conditions):

# Liquidity & Price Sources

## Liquidity

Liquidity refers to the ability to buy or sell an asset quickly without causing significant price fluctuations.

* High Liquidity: Ample buy/sell orders, where large trades have little impact on price.
* Low Liquidity: Sparse buy/sell orders, where large trades may cause sharp price changes (greater slippage).
* Source: Liquidity primarily comes from pools on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) such as Uniswap, PancakeSwap, etc., contributed by liquidity providers in the form of token pairs.

## Price Sources

In aggregation trading, prices are not determined by a single exchange. Instead, they are derived by comparing multiple liquidity sources to identify the optimal result.

* On-chain Prices: Directly from DEX trading pairs and liquidity conditions.
* Aggregation Calculation: Aggregators compare prices and costs across multiple DEXs through routing algorithms, selecting the best path for execution.
* Dynamic Updates: Prices change in real time with on-chain transactions and liquidity, making quotes time-sensitive.

## Advantages of Aggregated DEXs

* Better Prices: Consolidates liquidity across platforms to reduce slippage caused by insufficient liquidity on a single exchange.
* Higher Fill Rate: Finds executable trading paths from multiple liquidity sources, lowering the chance of failed transactions.

# Cross-Chain Service Providers & Liquidity Sources

When executing swaps and cross-chain transactions, Transit Finance integrates with multiple third-party cross-chain service providers and liquidity sources. This ensures competitive pricing, sufficient liquidity, and high execution efficiency.

## Cross-Chain Service Providers

* HifiSwap
* Changelly

# What if a transaction remains unconfirmed for a long time?

If a transaction stays in Pending status for an extended period, common causes include:

* Network Congestion: High transaction volume may delay confirmation.
* Low Gas Fee: Miners/validators prioritize transactions with higher fees.
* Cross-Chain Delay: Cross-chain transfers require verification and synchronization across multiple networks, which takes longer.
* Target Chain Issues: The receiving chain may be under maintenance or experiencing node failures.

## Recommended Actions:

1. Check the transaction hash in Transit Explorer or a third-party blockchain explorer.
2. If the gas fee is too low, use the Speed Up or Cancel function (if supported by your wallet) to resubmit.
3. For cross-chain transactions, please wait patiently — it may take from a few minutes to tens of minutes.
4. If there is no progress for a long time and no abnormal record is found, contact Transit Support with your wallet address and transaction hash.

👉 We recommend checking the network status and suggested gas fees before initiating a transaction to reduce the risk of delays.

# The number of tokens obtained through aggregate swap is incorrect

Transit Swap integrates the popular DEXs, and all execution records during the swap will be displayed on the blockchain.

You can click the “Record” and open the hash value link to view it. Some tokens with special restrictions or rules on issuance mechanisms are extremely likely to encounter such problems.

# What fees are there in the swap process?

In one swap service, Users have to pay such fees as:

1、gas fees that may be consumed when transferring from public chain.

2、Fees incurred by the system during the exchange process.

3、The required fees when withdrawing from an off-chain contract.

# Does aggregate swap support custom receiving addresses

Yes. You can open Transit Swap, press the settings icon in the upper right corner, check the receiving address, then you can customize the receiving address.

# Doesn't receive tokens using the exchange receiving address?

Some exchanges do not support the transfer of contract addresses, so when you use an exchange's address as a receiving address, you will not be able to receive the token.

The solution is to find the hash link of the swap and submit it to the exchange's customer service staff to deal with.

**There will be a new prompt for receiving address in the new version of Transit swap, please take note.**

# Why did my swap fail

Transactions can fail due to various reasons. The most common reason is **"gas fee is insufficient".**

An "insufficient gas" error occurs when the gas allocated for a transaction is consumed before the swap completes. To prevent transactions from failing due to "out of gas", we recommend the default network fee set by Transit Swap. When the swap fails, the network may consume some gas fee, but the assets you want to exchange are still safe and available in your wallet. If your swap fails several times, please contact us (TG link) and we will investigate the cause.

# Why can't I find my token in the Transit Swap listing

Transit Swap automatically aggregates available liquidity from leading DEXs and professional market makers.

If you can’t find your tokens, you can enter the token's contract address to search and add. If there is still nothing, then your token may lack sufficient liquidity.

# Transit Swap aggregation swap tutorial

Aggregate swap means it can choose the optimal trading channel automatically and offers the best transaction price.

1、Open Transit Swap, and select the type and amount of the tokens to be exchanged. In “swap parameters”, you can view the slippage, ratio, fee and other parameters, and click “Swap Path” to view the relevant data.

![](/files/AecMsNkbLQMMH3TkJOIw)

2、Slippage in aggregate swap is more important. You have to set matching slippages to buy and sell tokens normally. You can check “Receiving Address” in the “Settings” menu at the top right to customize the receiving address. (The default receiving address is the source address)

Click “fees discount” for details

![](/files/pMtlVF8NbhAFEJ8TBKbO)

3、It should be noted that approval is required for the first swap other than the main net token. In the authorization interface, you can flexibly set the preferred amount. It is recommended to set a slightly higher fee when swapping on the Ethereum chain, so that the transaction can be successful and fast.

![](/files/cuwjSnneTS6UxoX6rhTC)

4、There are only limited tokens shown on the list of Transit Swap, and how to swap other tokens? Click “choose the source token” or “choose the destination token”, and add the contract address to see the needed token.

# Transit Swap Cross-Chain Transfer Tutorial

Incubated by TokenPocket, Transit Swap is a cross-chain swap platform that integrates DEXs, aggregate transactions and one-stop cross-chain. Without certification, users can complete decentralized transactions real time and instantly swap assets across networks supported by TokenPocket.

Transit Swap's cross-chain aggregation swap platform will open cross-chain liquidity channels for mainstream public-chain assets, and provide users and projects with one-stop cross-chain services. It aims to create a cross-chain traffic gathering place for leading public chains.

1、Open TokenPocket, and you can access Transit by clicking “Swap” on the upper right side of the main page or selecting “Market” on the bottom menu. Then choose the type and amount of source token and destination token that you wish to transfer. You must choose or fill in them correctly, or your assets will be lost (If you choose an exchange address as the destination, it is recommended to consult the exchange platform customer service to see if it can be deposited)

![](/files/qnCJnaRzhVfJMlbBDeCB)

2、If the source and destination network is same, then swap within the same network default and if not, cross-chain default. (While doing a cross-chain swap, users may need to satisfy the min and max criteria).

![](/files/PC0iAEAc9S20s8b8LyBu)

3、You can quickly set the price slippage by clicking “Settings” on the upper right. Generally, the default slippage can be used for mainstream tokens cross-chain swap (The receiving address here is mainly for users to aggregate swap).

Click “Menu” in the upper right corner to view your current wallet address, and click “Governance”, “Fees”, “History”, “Documents “and “Help” to view and learn more about Transit Swap.

![](/files/DXkVUdK901EqKxzpWjRd)

4、Choose the swap tokens and amount, click “Swap” to see “Swap Details” where you can view the transfer and receiving addresses, fees and other information. After confirming and entering the password, you can check the swap status in “Swap Record”. Here take the SWFT service in the screenshot for example. If you have not received tokens, you can copy the “order number” and click on the bottom of the “have questions” to get feedback.

# 🔍 Audit

To ensure the security and transparency of its smart contracts, the core contracts of Transit Finance have undergone comprehensive audits by the independent third-party security firm SlowMist.\
The audit scope covers key aspects such as contract logic, permission management, fund flows, and vulnerability detection.

# Security

#### Security Overview

Transit Finance is committed to providing users with secure and reliable aggregation and cross-chain services. A multi-layered security framework is implemented throughout platform design and operation to safeguard user assets and transaction data.

#### Non-Custodial Assets

Transit does not custody user assets. All trades are executed directly on-chain via smart contracts, and assets remain under the control of the user’s wallet private key. The platform has no ability to access or transfer user funds.

#### Smart Contract Security

All core smart contracts used by the platform undergo independent third-party security audits and are thoroughly tested prior to deployment to reduce vulnerabilities and attack risks. Audit reports are made public to ensure transparency.

#### Transparent Data & Pricing

Quotes, liquidity data, and routing calculations are all sourced from public on-chain data. Users can independently verify transactions and outcomes through blockchain explorers, mitigating risks of centralized price manipulation.

#### Authorization & Permission Management

When trading a token for the first time, users must sign a wallet approval granting the smart contract access to that token. It is recommended to regularly revoke unnecessary approvals via the wallet or authorization management tools after transactions are completed to minimize risks.

#### Safe Interaction Tips

Transit is only accessible through its official website and verified DApps. The platform will never ask users for private keys, seed phrases, or verification codes. Any unsolicited request for sensitive information via social media or messaging apps is a scam and should be reported and blocked immediately.

# ⚠️ Risk Disclosure

When using Transit Finance for swaps or cross-chain transactions, users must understand and accept the risks associated with blockchain and decentralized finance (DeFi). Key risks include:

#### 1. Market Risks

* Price Volatility: Digital assets can fluctuate sharply within short periods, causing significant differences between expected and actual outcomes.
* Insufficient Liquidity: Assets with low market depth may incur high slippage or partial fills during large trades.

#### 2. On-Chain Execution Risks

* Transaction Failures: Due to price volatility, slippage limits, or network congestion, transactions may fail and be reverted on-chain, though network fees (gas) already consumed will not be refunded.
* Approval Risks: If unnecessary token approvals are not revoked in time, they may be exploited by malicious contracts.

#### 3. Cross-Chain Risks

* Delays: Cross-chain transactions involve multiple blockchains for validation and synchronization, which can take longer and depend on service provider availability.
* Bridge Security: As critical infrastructure for inter-chain transfers, vulnerabilities or attacks on cross-chain bridges may result in asset loss.

#### 4. Third-Party Dependency Risks

Transit relies on third-party liquidity sources and cross-chain service providers. Their availability, stability, and security may affect transaction outcomes and user experience.

#### 5. User Security

* Private Key / Seed Phrase Safety: Users must safeguard wallet credentials and never disclose them. Transit will never request such information.
* Fraud Prevention: Beware of unsolicited contacts via social media or messaging apps, and avoid clicking unknown links or downloading unverified files.

#### 6. Legal & Compliance Risks

* Regional Restrictions: Transit Finance does not provide services in jurisdictions where decentralized trading, crypto asset transactions, or cross-chain services are legally restricted.
* Compliance Responsibility: Users are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction before using Transit services.
* Regulatory Changes: Evolving regulations in certain jurisdictions may restrict or prevent continued access to crypto services.

User Liability: Users assume all legal responsibilities and potential losses resulting from violations of local laws. Transit Finance bears no liability for such cases.

#### About TransitFinance

Transit Swap is a cross-chain swap platform that integrates DEXs, aggregate transactions, and one-stop cross-chain. Without certification, users can complete decentralized transactions in real-time and instantly swap assets across networks supported by TokenPocket.

The Transit Swap API currently provides real-time price quotes for swaps between arbitrary tokens on these networks, as well as Application Binary Interface (ABI) data that can be used to interact with smart contracts on these networks.

# Sept 15th. The Merge is over!

**The Merge is over. From now on, all the users can execute the swap and cross-chain on Ethereum and all the functions are back to normal now！**

**What's Ethereum Merge?**

The Merge represents the joining of the existing execution layer of Ethereum (the Mainnet we use today) with its new proof-of-stake consensus layer, the Beacon Chain. It eliminates the need for energy-intensive mining and instead secures the network using staked ETH. A truly exciting step in realizing the Ethereum vision – more scalability, security, and sustainability.

**What do users and holders need to do?**

Any funds held in your wallet before The Merge will still be accessible after The Merge. No action is required to upgrade on your part.

Do not send your ETH anywhere in an attempt to "upgrade to ETH2." There is no "ETH2" token, and there is nothing more you need to do for your funds to remain safe.

# Sept 12th. About the Ethereum Merge.

Transit Swap will support the Ethereum Merge at 11 PM UTC, Sept 14th, 2022. To ensure your assets' security, we recommend that you don’t execute the swap, and cross-chain on Ethereum. For users who need to execute the transfer operation, we recommended that you complete the transfer operation before Sept 15th.

Any funds held in your wallet before the Merge will still be accessible after the Merge. No action is required to upgrade on your part.

In the process of the Merge, it will not affect your asset security, you don't need to worry about it.

As we approach the Merge of Ethereum Mainnet, you should be on high alert for scams trying to take advantage of users during this transition. Do not send your ETH anywhere in an attempt to "upgrade to ETH2." There is no "ETH2" token, and there is nothing more you need to do for your funds to remain safe.

Transit Swap will release an announcement to inform you after the Ethereum Merge is completed. Please be patient.

**What do users and holders need to do to get ready?**

You do not need to do anything to protect your funds entering The Merge.

Any funds held in your wallet before The Merge will still be accessible after The Merge. No action is required to upgrade on your part.
